Robertson County publishes local instructions for TN SAVIN, the Statewide Automated Victim Information Notification service. The county feed reports custody events from participating county correctional facilities. It can provide notice of release, transfer, or escape. TDOC also supplies a Tennessee VINE layer for people in state custody. That layer can report location, facility transfer, sentence expiration, release, and parole eligibility.

Coverage follows the custodian. A Robertson County Detention Facility booking belongs in the county feed. If the person transfers to TDOC, later state events belong in the TDOC feed. VINELink does not cover BOP federal custody, USMS pretrial history, or ICE custody as a substitute for those agencies’ locators. A county transfer alert only confirms departure from the county jail.

Search Robertson County VINELink

Use VINELink for a specific person. Select Tennessee before entering a name or identifier. A county booking number helps with a Robertson jail record, while a TOMIS or TDOC number helps with a state record. Common names and aliases make a name-only match weak. Compare a second identifier and the listed custody source.

1. Open VINELink and select Tennessee as the service area.
2. Choose the search for a person in custody or an offender record.
3. Enter the full name. Add the county booking number or state offender identifier when available.
4. Open the matching record and confirm the supplying agency, status, and location.
5. Read release, transfer, and escape as different event types.
6. Check the source jail detail or FOIL after an alert to confirm the custody path.

The interface begins the search, but the jail, TDOC, or other agency remains the source of the underlying record.

A no-result screen does not prove continued custody or release. Check spelling and identifiers, then use the correct official system. For a recent Robertson jail event, search the sheriff’s Released mode and contact the detention facility. For an older event, request the booking or movement record.

Robertson VINELink Record Fields

Available fields can differ by feed and record. County SAVIN is designed around custody information and event alerts. TDOC VINE includes broader state correction events. Read every field in the context of the agency shown, because the same word can refer to a county booking or a state sentence.

A notification is not a certified release record. For an exact Robertson County departure time, the sheriff’s released detail or movement log is stronger. For a state sentence, FOIL shows Supervision Status, Assigned Location, Sentence End Date, Release Eligibility Date, and parole fields. The court docket answers what happened to the charge or sentence.

Note: Record the date and time checked because VINE, the jail system, and FOIL can change as agencies post new data.

Register Robertson Release Alerts

After matching the person, choose an offered notification method. Depending on the record and platform, phone, text, email, app, or TTY channels may be available. Registration data belongs to the subscriber. Do not enter another person’s contact details, and do not share a notification PIN.

1. Open the correct Tennessee person record and select notification registration.
2. Choose the event types and available delivery channel.
3. Enter the contact point requested by the service.
4. Create or retain the confirmation details required by that channel.
5. When an alert arrives, note whether it says release, transfer, or escape.
6. Verify the event with the supplying jail or TDOC source.

Using two offered methods can reduce the risk of a missed alert, but no notification service should be the only source. Phone numbers change, messages can be blocked, and agency data can lag. Robertson County’s own SAVIN instructions expressly caution against relying only on SAVIN.

Robertson SAVIN Phone Alerts

Robertson County’s local instructions add details that a national overview may not show. Registration can be anonymous. A caller may search by the person’s name or county booking number, enter up to five telephone contacts, and create a four-digit PIN. English and Spanish information, interpreter access, and live assistance are available around the clock through the Tennessee service.

Call 1-888-868-4631, provide the name or booking number, listen to the custody information, and choose registration when prompted. Supply the telephone number, then create the four-digit PIN. The PIN confirms receipt when the alert call arrives and can be used to cancel future calls. It is not the person’s booking number.

The county source is especially useful for understanding the five-number option, private PIN, and distinction among release, transfer, and escape alerts.

A call that reports transfer should trigger a new search. If the destination is TDOC, use FOIL and TDOC VINE. If a county detail says Other Jurisdiction, identify the receiving agency before choosing BOP, ICE, another jail, or a court and records route.

Verify Robertson Release Alerts

Start with the event label. A county release alert confirms that the county feed reported a departure. The sheriff’s individual released detail can add the actual release time, How Released, Release Reason, booking number, charges, bond context, and photo. If the result says Other Jurisdiction, community release remains unconfirmed.

A TDOC release alert must be paired with FOIL. Parole can mean the person is outside prison but remains under active supervision. Inactive is a different state status. Release Eligibility Date is not the actual release. The Tennessee Board of Parole hearing result is also not a walking-out timestamp, since a plan, detainer, sentence check, or later action may intervene.

For an older or certified Robertson jail event, ask the Sheriff’s Records Division for the adult booking/release record and movement or discharge entry. Include name variants, date of birth if known, booking number, and date range. Request the existing release time, type, reason, and receiving agency fields. Note: A VINE alert is strong notice of a reported change, but it does not prove the end of every hold, case, or supervision term.

Robertson VINELink Search Limits

VINELink is a near-term status and notification service. Robertson County has not published a promise for how long a released county record remains searchable there. Use a saved alert as a lead, then obtain the source record when lasting proof matters. A missing result may reflect a spelling issue, another custodian, a transfer between feeds, or the service’s available history.

Federal and immigration systems require their own tools. The BOP locator covers federal sentenced prisoners from 1982 forward. USMS pretrial release is confirmed through the federal court order or a records request because USMS has no public historic name locator. ICE ODLS covers current detainees and people released from ICE custody within the prior 60 days. None of those systems can be replaced by a county SAVIN search.

The Tennessee Sex Offender Registry is also separate. It applies only when a person has a registration duty. An Active registry label concerns registry status, not incarceration. Absence from the registry proves neither a lack of release nor a lack of criminal history. Use the TBI registry information only for that narrow question.

Resolve Robertson VINE Conflicts

When two public sources appear to conflict, prefer the record created by the custodian for the event at issue. The sheriff's released detail or movement log controls the Robertson County departure. FOIL controls the current state custody or supervision label. The court judgment controls the charge disposition and sentence. A VINE message is the prompt to check those records, not a reason to overwrite them.

Keep the person identifier, event label, source agency, and access time together. That small record of the check can show whether the difference came from a later update, a transfer between systems, or a match to the wrong person. If the supplying agency corrects its data, use the corrected source record.

Preserve Robertson Release Alerts

For a personal or court matter, note when the alert arrived and which agency supplied it. Keep the event label, person identifier, and access time with a copy of the source record. A screenshot of VINELink can omit fields or become stale. The sheriff, TDOC, or court custodian must provide any certified record that is required.

If a later alert changes the status, retain both dates without calling the first report false. A transfer followed by release can be two valid events from two custodians. A correction can also replace an early entry. The sequence is clearer when each event remains tied to its own source.
